Turramurra Montessori Academy

Our vision for reconciliation at Turramurra Montessori Academy is a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised as being the First Nations peoples of Australia. Our aim is to inspire and enable all Australians to contribute to reconciliation and break down stereotypes and discrimination. We enrich, enlighten and further educate all educators, families and children within the centre and they will take this opportunity to develop a strong sense of understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our educational program. We will embed practices, plan and implement experiences that broaden children's families and educator's perspectives and encourage them to participate, whenever possible in connecting the home, the centre and the community. This RAP will be implemented and attached to the weekly planning to eventually form part of our Quality Improvement Plan.
