BusyBees at Noarlunga Downs envisions a strong commitment to education, understanding and respect towards reconciliation. We believe that understanding comes from educating within the early years onwards and respectfully embedding and recognising the importantance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives and practices within the service and community.
We believe in acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our school stands and developing strong relationships within the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and beyond.
Our vision fosters the ability to understand, communicate and effectively interact with people across all cultures, developing positive attitudes towards cultural differences and gaining knowledge of different cultural practices and world views, especially those of First Nations peoples.
BusyBees at Noarlunga Downs values growth, progress and reflection as an essential tool on our reconciliation journey. We continue to critically reflect on our individual, team and company practices to enrich educational experiences and commit to extending professional development.
BusyBees Noarlunga Downs also values creating nurturing and engaging environments which provide opportunities to belong, to build strong relationships with our children, team and community.
We are passionate and strong Educators and believe this will help guide and develop our commitment towards reconciliation, building a strong foundation towards cultural responsiveness.
