Altona Early Years Hub

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Altona Early Year’s Hub is committed to reconciliation and our vision is a future of strong relationships between our broader community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our community will acknowledge the values and cultural histories, heritages and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We will respect and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the connection they have to the Land on which our community resides.

We will

. Gain a Better understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures

. Educate our children about the importance of compassion, understanding and cultural awareness

 · Recognise, celebrate and embrace the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and value the central role that cultures play in our multicultural community

. Working to build a strong relationship with local Elders and families

 · Recognise and value our commonalities and our differences and strive for equality for all cultures

Our journey is one we want our community to walk in partnership with us on, we want to raise awareness about reconciliation, we invite our community to take part on this journey with us
