At Goodstart Baringa, our vision for reconciliation is to instil within children, families and the team, respect for, and cultural awareness of, Australia's First Peoples .
We undertake this continuous journey, ensuring that our centre reflects and respects the true histories of the Land on which we stand, and honours Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, past and present. We strive for respectful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members. Through seeking collaboration and partnerships with First Nations peoples, we will provide the children with authentic experiences that educate them about Gubbi Gubbi people and perspectives. We hope that through our efforts of learning and sharing our learnings about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, perspectives, and experiences, that our centre community will combat ignorance and prejudice with compassion and understanding on our reconciliation journey.
