VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At WEMOOSH, we aspire to create a future where reconciliation is not just a word but a vibrant reality. Our unwavering commitment is to foster unity, respect, and understanding within our diverse community. We envision a world where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families and non-Indigenous children and families come together, learning from each other, and celebrating the rich tapestry of First Nations cultures that define our nation's unique character.

We believe that by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the Land, incorporating First Nations knowledges into activities, promoting appropriate language revitalisation, and engaging in meaningful dialogue with First Nations communities, we can create an environment that respects and celebrates the importance of First Nations heritages. We are dedicated to cultivating partnerships, promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ entrepreneurship and integrating sustainable practices within our centre.

We are committed to continuously improving our reconciliation journey by fostering partnerships, supporting First Nations-owned businesses, and ensuring that our programs reflect the values of respect, inclusion, and sustainability. We envision a future where our centre is not only a place of education and fun but also a beacon of reconciliation and understanding, setting an example for future generations to follow. Through ongoing education, open dialogue, and a genuine commitment to reconciliation, we intend to contribute positively to the broader reconciliation movement in our nation.

Together, as a united community, we are steadfast in working toward our vision of reconciliation, one step at a time, to build a brighter and more harmonious future for all.
