Nino Early Learning Adventures - Preston

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Here at Nino Early Learning Adventures, Preston, we believe it is important for our community to recognise and acknowledge the past injustices towards  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and when moving into the future, to acknowledge  and work to develop respectful, meaningful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members by learning from the past histories and mistakes and embedding the values and views of  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our everyday curriculum.

We aim to further staff’s understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by providing time to engage in personal development, to further develop their knowledge and appreciation of Wurindjeri Woi Wurrung Country and to assist them in including respectful and meaningful experiences within their rooms. By doing so we aim to actively create an ease of transition of information between communities, staff, families and children so we, as a community, can develop a strong, respectful understanding of the community around us.
