Our vision for reconciliation at Busy Bees Mirrabooka is to strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community.
Busy Bees Mirrabooka’s vision for reconciliation begins with recognising the Traditional Owners of the Land, the Whadjuk People, which our service is on. We are furthering our knowledge and understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, perspectives, and cultures. We critically reflect on how we actively participate in providing quality education about reconciliation with the children, families, and educators.
As a service, we will build our connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and attend local community events. We will work towards providing the opportunity for children, families, and educators to engage with First Nations cultures and perspectives.
Busy Bees Mirrabooka continues to respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout our curriculum as we deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures, histories, and perspectives.
