Lane Cove Out Of School Inc (LCOOS)’s vision for reconciliation is to actively acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and give thanks to the Traditional Custodians for caring for the Land on which we work on and learn from every day.
We aspire to continue our reconciliation journey by developing a program and environment that strengthens and supports children’s understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elder’s and peoples ongoing cultures, heritages, beliefs and relationship with the Land.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), will be a document that continues to grow and change with us as the children’s connection and understanding of equality, equity and respect strengthens.
At LCOOS we are committed to producing inclusive programs that demonstrate respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to help nurture kindness, empathy and respect through play and learning goals where all children, staff, families and our community can come together and be inspired to grow and adapt as advocates for reconciliation as we navigate our way through our RAP.
