Our vision for reconciliation is to contribute to an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and their strong connections to culture and Country, are recognised, respected, and valued. We are committed to walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to help shape an Australia where the diverse cultural identities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are honoured and where there is a strong sense of belonging and connection between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider Australian community. As we strengthen our practices and commitment in developing this Reconciliation Action Plan, we will ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories are appreciated and are respectfully reflected throughout our campus. We are committed to continue our journey of learning, unlearning, and relearning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, and respectfully embedding these perspectives into our practices and the children's learning experiences. Reconciliation is about exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, histories, and stories to inform holistic practices to support children’s learning, including ways of being, belonging and becoming. Our organisation is contributing to Australia’s National reconciliation movement through developing our educators’, families’ and children’s understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, languages, and perspectives every day.
