Our Vision for Bulldogs Community Children's Centre is to:
- Understand what reconciliation means and looks like for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community, and to develop an active understanding of what reconciliation means to us as individuals and as a service.
- Acknowledge and respect the Land, teaching the younger generations about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, heritages and continuing connections to Country.
- Acknowledge the pain and loss experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples since colonisation and their continued strength and resilience.
- Respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures into the ongoing curriculum.
- Promote cultural responsiveness among all children, families and staff, including greater understanding of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and being.
- Develop positive relationships between local and wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Work alongside the Ngarrngga Project so that Educators gain the skills, practices & confidence to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into the ongoing curriculum.
