VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Busy Bees Byford South acknowledges and values the cultures histories, heritages, traditions and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in particular to the education of young children, and recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and pedagogies have continued to exist since long before our early learning service’s story began.

Our vision for reconciliation is of a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively recognised as the First Nations peoples of Australia; where all Australians value Elders past, present and future for the wisdom and knowledge they hold; and where emerging leaders in local communities are supported.

We aim to contribute to an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultural identities are respected; and where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, alongside all children, are recognised, comfortable and nurtured in a fully inclusive learning environment.
