Buggles Child Care - Brookfield Place

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

For Buggles Brookfield Place, reconciliation means working in a meaningful and respectful way with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities. It is a commitment of Buggles Brookfield Place to work in collaboration and partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities.

Our vision for reconciliation is nurturing a vibrant and connected community that welcomes all its members and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and peoples. We want to work closely with children, families and the local community to make this a reality throughout our care and education service.

  • Develop a culture within our centre which values and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures;
  • Promote respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acceptance of cultural diversity within the Centre;
  • Ensure that knowledge of the experiences and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is respectfully incorporated into our teaching and learning as well as our community engagement;
