Our vision to ensure the best path towards reconciliation for the City West Child Care Centre, is to shape our current knowledge and learning by consulting with local Elders and respected Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of the community.
Building on and guided by TAFESA's Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan. This states that reconciliation is everyone's business at TAFESA.
At City West our emphasis is on the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning for the children but also including the education team. Keeping reconciliation in the forefront of our curriculum and planning is central to our learning environment. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are respectfully embedded across our leaning environments.
Building relationships is essential as we connect, celebrate and guide each other as we learn, unlearn and grow in the modern world. Relationships will acknowledge history, recognise the need for equality and equity, and share the expression of the genuine desire for reconciliation.
