Charters Towers Kids Early Learning Centre's vision for reconciliation reflects a shared partnership between children, families, educators and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community; encouraging a community of practice where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, languages, cultures and ‘ways of knowing’ are respected and celebrated every day.
As a service we actively support and work towards reconciliation with partnerships and engagement with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and Elders. Building strong partnerships and strengthening our current knowledge and understanding to respectfully embed cultural perspectives into all areas of our service while supporting collaborative partnerships that set foundations for strong relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community.
We provide children with a knowledgeable understanding and pass on a positive and inclusive message that supports reconciliation for present and future generations.
