Smarty Pants Cooroy Daycare and Early Learning Centre

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Embedding reconciliation as a fundamental principle of Smarty Pants Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten is fostered and supported by all staff and owners. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions that have shaped our nation are to be celebrated and respect is to be paid to the Traditional Custodians of the Lands on which our early learning service is based.

We are committed to fostering practices which both embrace and encourage the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and create environments where all children are nurtured and supported in reaching their full potential. The Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) will build on our existing foundations, supporting and guiding us now and into future.

This RAP will facilitate our journey forward, allowing us to establish new partnerships and celebrate existing relationships, ensuring the ethos of cultural safety and reconciliation is fully embedded across our service. The RAP will help guide a future of equitable and equal opportunities for all children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, to participate in quality early childhood education and care. We appreciate the commitment to our RAP, and actively encourage all staff and stakeholders in the journey to make this vision possible.
