Sesame Lane Child Care strives to be an organisation that is active in supporting reconciliation across our everyday business and community engagement activities. We are committed to ensuring that every child and family has strong knowledge and understanding of the continued significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures and of the stories and wisdom that Australia's First Nations peoples hold.
Sesame Lane Banyan Street believes strongly in inclusion for all, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the respect they have for the Land, water, earth and sky. We take steps to return what we take from the Land back to the Land through our sustainability practices.
We acknowledge the wrongs of the past and we work together so that these wrongs will never be repeated through education and also by instilling respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples and their cultures into all attending our service.
We will build relationships with the Gubbi Gubbi Elders and Community Leaders. We will ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators and families feel valued and appreciated in our service community.
