Our vision for reconciliation at Goodstart Petrie is to share our commitment to reconciliation through the continuation of building relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within our community and oursleves as educators, the children and families of our service and our wider community.
We are committed to using our knowledge of early childhood education and care to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and our shared history into our daily curriculum. We be guided by the principals and practices outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework to ensure that we provide programs that respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and being. We will ensure we nurture a vibrant and connected community that welcomes all its members and to actively values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.
