Kulila Indigenous Kindergarten aims to build a safe, respectful, and compassionate organisation where individuals experience a sense of belonging and are able to reach their own potential.
At Kulila Indigenous Kindergarten, our vision is to continue to be a strong advocate for its Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children, Staff, Parents/Carers, their families and extended Community members. We are committed to prioritising the enrolment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as maintaining high percentages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators and support staff and encouraging as many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander volunteers and work experience students within their chosen profession. We are always open to conversations and maintaining reciprocal relationships with Community Support teams and Allied services including the First Nations Community with the aim of bettering educational opportunities for our Children and their families.
Reconciliation helps to guide our students, staff, families, volunteers and community members on a journey that encourages them to respectfully learn from and reach out to the wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. This journey will allow us to develop reciprocal friendships and share culture in our different languages and to live and work together compassionately within the Toowoomba community.
