Avenues Early Learning Centre - Cannon Hill

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Avenues Cannon Hill we strive to learn and improve on our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories.

Through this learning we are able to respectfully impart and share our knowledge with the families who attend our service, the children that hold the future in their hands and the local community with which we share our learning space. At Avenues Cannon Hill we believe that an Australia that is reconciled holds the knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and proudly and respectfully shares this knowledge with the greater community.

It is within our vision that the learning we impart to our children and families is something that stays with them for generations as they pass their learning on to their families, friends and community members.

It is important for all within our service to learn and understand what reconciliation is as we believe that our journey towards reconciliation is one we should share with our children, families and community. We aim to demonstrate this commitment to reconciliation through our daily practices and yearly events.
