VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

As an early education and care setting, we want to provide opportunities and equal outcomes for all children but in particular, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who attend our service and our community.  I In order to educate the children in our care, we must develop an understanding of and respect for the Quandamooka people and the Country on which we reside, learn and explore.  We will ensure that as a service we are respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout our service.  We, as a service, will continue to engage with the community and build strong connections and relationships with the Quandamooka people as Traditional Custodians.  We are committed to ensuring that every educator, child, and family has access to knowledge and understanding of the continued significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures that are Australia’s First People. We commit to do this through relationships, research, program, practice, and community involvement. As an early education service, our vision is to continuously reflect on, implement and review our Reconciliation Action Plan to ensure we are up-to-date, relevant and accountable for our actions and plans.
