Greenbank Community Kindergarten recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have had, and continue to have on the past, present and future of Australia.
We believe that our role as educators is to continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout the Kindergarten program, including supporting children to achieve positive learning outcomes. We will continue to respect, acknowledge Australia’s First Peoples histories and cultures. We will continue to seek guidance from Elders within our community, and with permission respectfully share their knowledge with educators, children and families.
We acknowledge the importance of respecting Yugambeh Country and the Kombumerri, Mununjali and Wangerriburra peoples, who are the Traditional Owners on the Land on which our Kindergarten resides.
We will advance our commitment to reconciliation by building and maintaining respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the service and the wider community.
