Here at Creative Garden Sinnamon Park, we are committed to a profound and meaningful journey towards reconciliation with First Nations peoples. We envision an environment where the rich tapestry of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are  acknowledged and woven into the fabric of our everyday practices. Through genuine and sustained partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  community members, we aspire to create a space that goes beyond token gestures, seeking to embed diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, languages, and traditions throughout our curriculum. Our commitment extends beyond curriculum integration, it encompasses a understanding and acknowledgment of the historical and contemporary realities faced by First Nations peoples. We  create opportunities for open dialogue, learning, and reflection, ensuring that the children, families, and educators within our centre gain a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, perspectives, and contributions. Furthermore, we strive to actively invite First Nations Elders and knowledge keepers and Traditional Custodians to be involved in the development of our programs and policies, recognising their invaluable role in passing on cultural wisdom. By fostering connections with members of our local  community, we create a supportive network that enriches the educational experiences of our children.
