Hillsdon Kindergarten

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Vision:

Our vision is to visibly respect and acknowledge the unique connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to the Land on which our kindergarten is situated and to build genuine, respectful relationships with all children and families that attend our service.

Values:

Hillsdon Kindergarten values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities make to the wider community.

Objectives:

We are committed to:

- gaining a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and learning and respectfully reflecting that knowledge at all levels of our service.

- welcoming Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families to our service.

- overtly and respectfully embracing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures via the resources we use in the kindergarten.
