Mother Duck Child Care Bracken Ridge

Here at Mother Duck Bracken Ridge our vision is to build links between the Turrbal people, the children and families that attend our service, and our service staff, and to continue to build on these relationships over time. As a team we are committed to building on our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories. Our Reconciliation Action Plan will be a work in progress to guide us as we gain a better understanding of how we can educate future generations on the importance of reconciling the relationships between past, present and future Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians. We acknowledge the continued strength, unity and resilience Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have shown during the injustices of the past and present as we promote a future where we can all live in harmony. We envision to create a culturally diverse and respectful learning environment, through thoughtful learning experiences, discussions and inviting Elders from within our community to join us as we show our respects to the Turrbal people and their Land on which our children are fortunate enough to learn and grow. Each family will feel a sense of belonging as their cultures and histories are acknowledged, accepted and embedded respectfully within our everyday practices.
