Our vision for Goodstart Early Learning Rosebud Borneo Road, is for all educators, children and community members to enhance their understandings and acknowledgement of Australia's First Nations peoples’ histories and how relearning Australia’s true histories will benefit the children, families and educators within our service. Goodstart Early Learning, Rosebud Borneo Road believe that reconciliation includes ensuring that all children have equal and equitable access to educational opportunities and outcomes We genuinely value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Peoples of Australia with deep respect, understanding and inclusion into our program and practices. As Australians actively working towards reconciliation, we embrace unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians by promoting equality and equity, historical acceptance of our shared history and the removal of discrimination and negative race relations. As a centre we also believe that reconciliation is about relationships, respect and trust. Through reconciliation we strengthen the relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for the benefit of all Australians. By making this commitment Goodstart Early Learning, Rosebud Borneo Road has a vision for families, volunteers and the wider community to have a deeper understanding and connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to also provide opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to contribute to our programs.
