Gumnuts Early Learning Centre (GELC) & Out School Hours Care (OSHC) centres recognise and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as our countries First Nations Peoples.
Our vision is to provide reconciliation through our connection and relationships to the Land and communities. We will achieve this through our learning programs and environments at our services and in our nature kinder program which are all situated on Gunaikurnai peoples country.
We are committed to our connection and involvement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children within our community. We are taking action in positive changes through our relationship with Ramahyuck District Aboriginal Corporation, Gunaikurnai Land and Water Aboriginal Corporation as well as other Aboriginal Elders and Educators that are a part of our/the community.
We are proud to continue building our strong relationships to work towards and achieving social justice and human rights of equity with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families at our centres and in our community. We provide a welcoming safe educational program which is inclusive to all families.
