Our vision is to actively acknowledge the unique connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country. We strive to build genuine, respectful relationships with all children, families, educators and wider community members that come together to within our community. We are committed to continuing to develop a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and learning. We embrace the responsibility to educate our younger generation in the importance of looking to the past to understand and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritages and our shared history since colonisation. Through truth telling and relearning our history, we can come together in hope and with perseverance for the future. This understanding is expressed through a daily acknowledgement of Country which gives homage to Elders past, present and emerging. Connecting us all in unity to pay respect to Land and Country and keep learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures alive in the present moment and far into the future is key to achieving our vision for reconciliation.
