Reconciliation is about coming together as one, strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians. Goodstart Early Learning, Seymour believe’s reconciliation includes ensuring that all children have equal and equitable access to educational opportunities and outcomes. We genuinely value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Peoples of Australia with deep respect, understanding and inclusion into our program and practices.. As Australians actively working towards reconciliation, we embrace unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians by promoting equality and equity, historical acceptance of our own shared history and removal of discrimination and negative race relations. As a centre we also believe that reconciliation is about relationships, respect and trust. Through reconciliation we strengthen the relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for the benefit of all Australians. Our reconciliation plan is a formal statement of commitment to reconciliation underpinned by three Goodstart’s key themes of, relationships, respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's empowerment. By making this commitment Goodstart Early Learning, Ballarat Creswick Road, is committed to Enriching the lives of our staff, children, families, volunteers and the wider community through a deeper understanding and connection to First Nations peoples and perspectives.
