At Kalbarri Kindergarten we believe reconciliation is an ongoing journey that begins with acknowledging the past and present experiences and treatment of Australia's First Nations peoples and the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. Moving forward, we understand the importance of working in partnership with First Nations people and continue to develop a greater understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ diverse cultures, perspectives, and values. We strongly believe that every child’s identity is important to them to feel pride in their personal identity and culture in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
We seek to create a culturally safe environment for children, families, educators, and First Nations peoples where positive and respectful relationships are fostered.
