VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At South Melbourne OAC Campus, our vision for reconciliation is embedded in every aspect of our school community. Through continuous learning, respect, and collaboration with the local First Nations community, we strive to create an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous students, staff, and families can thrive together in harmony, understanding, and unity. South Melbourne OAC's Reconciliation Action Plan serves as our roadmap towards a more just and reconcilied future.

Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians, and a national culture that represents equality and equity, historical acceptance of our shared histories and removal of negative race relations.

We will continue to ensure that we have a culturally safe campus where all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families feel welcome and represented when they come to our centre that they have a sense of belonging.

We will continue to provide staff with opportunities to develop their professional learning in cultural awareness and responsiveness to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and perspectives.
