Tulip Street Private Kindergarten is committed to continuing growing our knowledge, understanding and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and histories.
Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we will provide opportunities for the teaching staff to build upon their own understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and traditions, so that they can be confident in teaching about this knowledge to the children. This will ensure the children can build upon their individual knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and traditions, show respect, accept differences, appreciate our diverse cultures, deepen their relationships and celebrate this culture with not only each other, but with their families and the local community.
In our Kindergarten, we envision a community where every child learns the importance of understanding, respect and kindness. Through stories, activities and shared experiences, we aim to foster an culturally responsive environment that celebrates and welcomes diversity whilst teaching the value of reconciliation, building a foundation for lifelong harmony and empathy amongst us all.
