Goodstart Caulfield acknowledges the reciprocal relationships needed to understand and promote reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. Our vision is to build respectful and restorative relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We are committed to fostering rich learning environments in which children can respectfully learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures. We will provide rights based, such as those suggested in the anti-bias approach, to learning to accommodate an equitable education system in which every child may see themselves reflected in practice and curriculum.
We strive to promote connection with the First Nations community and Country and, will continue to communicate our respect for the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation who are the Traditional Owners of the Land on which our centre stands.
This respect is woven and embedded into everything we do. We’re focused on building connections, celebrating the Bunurong culture, whilst providing an early learning environment where all children feel welcome.
