North Fitzroy Child Care Co-operative recognises and celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their unique spiritual, physical and cultural connections to Country.
We are committed – educators alongside children and families – to on-going learning to deepen our awareness, knowledge and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, contributions and contemporary issues. We are committed to implementing holistic reconciliation experiences, and to actively building on frameworks which respectfully embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of being, knowing and doing.
Together, as a community of educators and families, we are committed to reconciliation, truth-telling, and to respectfully connecting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations and events. We acknowledge that the reconciliation process as an ongoing journey and continue to be
dedicated to creating an early learning culture and curriculum that promotes respect for diversity, equity, equality and social justice. We support children as agents of change for a better and fairer society, where reconciliation can flourish.
