The team at Wilmington Kindergarten continually work towards respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our practice so that we can empower ourselves and others in our presence towards reconciliation.
We achieve this by living our RAP Actions daily and celebrating progress as it happens with not only our team but the children and families. Wilmington Kindergarten continues our commitment to reconciliation that reflects the needs of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, our educators, non-Indigenous children, families, and the wider community.
Wilmington works together in respectful partnership with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the process of reconciliation and respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our daily curriculum with our educators, children, families and the community.
We educate the children in their early years about the true history of Australia and the Traditional Owners of the Land.
