Euroka acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People as the First People of Australia and is committed to work towards achieving reconciliation. Euroka celebrates and acknowledges that we grow and learn on the land of the Dharug and Gundungurra people and appreciate their custodianship of and connections to the Land on which we work and play. We commit to seeking out opportunities to respectfully engage in play in our local bush land and work with the Darug an Gundungarra People to learn about how to develop the skills to care for the Land. We promote a shared lens of understanding within our community about the importance of respecting and caring for Country. We believe in creating strong partnerships and authentic relationships with Elders and the community. We will continue to engage in sustainable practices within the service as we strive to achieve reconciliation in education. We honour the cultural diversity within First Nations peoples and our families and community and work with intention to ensure Euroka is a culturally safe place for all. We investigate and continue to learn and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, contributions and perspectives and learn about true Australian history.
