At Fit Kidz Glenwood North, we recognise our role in shaping young minds and fostering respect, inclusivity, and reconciliation. We value the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. We are committed to respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our everyday practices.
Our vision for reconciliation is built upon:
Our commitment to lifelong learning acknowledges that many of us are still unlearning, learning, and relearning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We will continue to deepen our understanding through professional development, engagement with First Nations voices, and reflective practice. By doing so, we ensure that our teaching is authentic, respectful, and enriching for everyone across our learning community.
We will continue to educate and empower educators, children, families and the wider community to be active contributors to our reconciliation journey. By respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our curriculum, we support children, educators and families to deepen their understanding of the true histories and contributions of the First Peoples of Australia.
Through strengthening community connections, we will ensure reconciliation extends beyond our classrooms and service building. We will continue to actively work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the local community through meaningful conversations.
By working together on our reconciliation journey, we continue to build an inclusive, equal and equitable future for all.
We acknowledge the Dharug people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
At Fit Kidz Glenwood North, we are committed to reconciliation in education, ensuring that First Nations peoples and cultures are acknowledged, respected, and represented every day.
