Country Bumpkins Early Learning Centre believes that it is fundamental to recognise the importance of bridging the gap of equity and equality in education, social, community, cultural, emotional and wellbeing outcomes between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non- Indigenous people.
Country Bumpkins Early Learning Centre acknowledges the discrimination and injustices of past historical events that had led to inequality in our society for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As a centre, we believe that now is the time to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have equitable rights and opportunities in society.
This will be achieved through creating a powerful community that recognises and acknowledges the diversity of all cultures and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Country Bumpkins Early Learning Centre's vision for reconciliation is where we can live in a reconciled society harmoniously together.
Country Bumpkins Early Learning centre will do this through incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our educational programs and curriculums, polices, procedures and practices as well as connecting with the Sutton and Gundaroo communities and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to deepen our understandings of Australia's First People and reconciliation.
