The Educators, families and community members here at Marina Cottage Early Learning Centre, acknowledge and value the cultural histories, heritages and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, past, present and emerging.
As educators and a unified team, we seek to develop a strong understanding of the rich cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Australia and respectfully embed this understanding into our everyday practices, as we do with all cultures within our inclusive service.
We acknowledge the diversity and strength of Australia’s First Nations Peoples, and we are committed to acknowledge, respect and work collaboratively with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, to educate, influence and guide our children and families and educators on creating a community based on respect, reverence and understanding
As we deepen our understanding of the long history of Australia’s First Nations People, their Lands and cultures, we maintain an environment of continuous learning for educators, children, families and community to take action and build mutual respectful relationships on the path towards reconciliation.
