Flinders Cove Pre School

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Firstly; We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we live, learn, love and play. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging

Our Vision for reconciliation in Flinders Cove is to come toether and learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and belifes. We beleive in a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised as being the First Nations peoples of Australia. Flinders Cove are encouraging reconiliation to be respectively embeded into our daily program as it needs to be recongised as a part of our history and inclusion of equity and equality.

We believe it is important to encourage and engage our children through positive and respectfully educating them on moving forward together as a greater community to unite and collaborate together to build a better Australian Country for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and all Australians.

As a child care service our objective is to strengthen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultural customs as we commit to working towards a safe and equal environment for our children, educators, families and the wider community.

Our vision is to implement a welcoming environment for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural communities and pledge to value their knowledge to respectfully promote programs, as they lead the way in sharing their knowledge with Flinders Cove.
