First Steps Early Learning Centres

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

First steps Early Learning Centre was formed on the Lands of the Widjabul/Wiabal people of the Bundjalung Nation.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Traditional Custodians of this Country and their connection to the land, water and community in which we operate.

We pay our respect to them, their cultures and customs both past and present.

Our team is committed to providing an ongoing program that is rich in culture and a celebration of cultural diversity.

We would like to extend knowledge and understanding of Australia’s First Peoples in ways that are respectfully embedded in our everyday practice and across all curriculum areas.

We strive to teach children about the heritage of the Land on which our Early Learning Centre stands, and the value that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and contributions adds to our workplace and community.
