Tillys Play and Development centre Abermain is committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's cultures and perspectives into all areas of play. We are committed to engaging in ongoing professional learning and training as we have found that we able to embed Aboriginal perspectives through-out our environment and practice. We have found that through professional development, all educators are becoming culturally aware and are able to guide learning with confidence. We will continue to embrace our local connections with the Wonnarua community and seek feedback from all families Our next steps in our reconciliation journey will be to continue to engage in professional development, offer experiences and to be open to learning with the children. Our mission is for the next generation of Australians to grow up with connection to and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders cultures, peoples and our true history. In the spirit of reconciliation, we will continue to educate ourselves, each other and our next generation on First Nations peoples’ cultures.
