Kincumber Preschool Kindergarten

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Kincumber Preschool Kindergarten recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories, and their rich, diverse and dynamic nature. We acknowledge the importance of respectfully embedding this knowledge and understanding within our daily practices and pedagogical approach with children. We recognise our position to uphold an inclusive environment where every child feels safe and secure. As educators, we have the ability to sustain an open conversation with our families about the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and perspectives, encouraging all to value the contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples make to Australian culture and society. We value the opportunity to learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and we honour their resilience and strength. We recognise we need to proceed to  work in an inviting and collaborative way to assist in fostering equality and equity among all members of our educational community.
