Anchorage Early Learning

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Anchorage Early Learning we believe that reconciliation reflects an ongoing awareness and commitment to building strong, meaningful connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We aspire to respectfully represent the rich and significant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander values, beliefs and perspectives within our everyday educational practice whilst being respectful and meaningful in our consultation with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

We hope that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators, children and families feel a sense of belonging within Anchorage Early Learning, and can continue to build strong connections with their community and Country. We aim to promote an environment that values respect and equity, providing opportunities that spark children's passion for learning about diverse cultures and creating meaningful connections with their world. Reconciliation means showing our commitment to ongoing improvement in the relationship between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and spreading awareness of the importance of a culturally inclusive environment for all children and their families. It means bringing all people together in unity and showing respect for those who have been before us, paving the way for a safe future for all Australians.
