Our vision for reconciliation is for SDN Marrickville to engage with reconciliation on both a personal and professional level, creating the conditions that support social justice, equality and equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
To foster a strong sense of belonging, pride and cultural safety in our community we commit to building respectful reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait families and Elders. We will walk alongside our local community, by listening deeply and learning from their voices. We will embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, cultures, and histories within our curriculum, including through stories shared by Elders. Their rich culture and deep connection to the Land inspire us to learnn, share , and grow together within our community. At SDN Marrickville, we carry with us the responsibility to respect and honour the stories, traditions, and ongoing contributions of the First Peoples of Australia. We strive to work together towards reconciliation and shared understanding in our community.
Our vision for reconciliation is to focus on a sense of belonging and community in the Inner West.
