At Condell Park Montessori Academy our vision for reconciliation is to continue to enrich, enlighten, and further enhance the knowledge for all educators, families, and children within the centre about of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. All First Nations and non-Indigenous educators, families, and children will have opportunities to continue developing a strong sense of understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and ways of life within our educational program and daily practices. We contribute to a country where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, educators, children, and families are recognised and valued as the creators, thinkers and doers of the past, today and tomorrow, and they feel a sense of belonging and strong connections within our learning environments.
We value diversity within our service, and for this reason, we will provide and plan experiences that broaden all children’s, families’ and educators’ knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and encourage them to participate, whenever possible, in sharing their new learnings in the home, the centre and the community.
