Our vision for reconciliation at Bankstown Montessori Academy is to enrich, enlighten and to further educate all educators, families, and children within the centre about First Nations peoples of Australia. Educators, families and children will take this opportunity to develop a strong sense of understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and about reconciliation within our education program. As part of our philosophy, we value diversity within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. For this reason, we will continue to facilitate experiences that broaden children’s, families’ and educators’ perspectives and encourage them to build respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members.
