Seaforth Multicare Child Care Centre

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision is that we, as an early learning centre, acknowledge and value the cultures, histories and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are committed to working towards national reconciliation by respectfully embedding aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures into our learning practices throughout the year in a respectful and meaningful way.

A reconciled Australia will be supported through acknowledging the true Australian history since colonisation and how it has impacted Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Here at Seaforth Childcare, we will endeavour to celebrate and appreciate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples to be proud of their cultures.

Seaforth Child Care's reconciliation journey will be guided by local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and community, our families and staff members who identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educational groups.
