Annandale Child Care Centre

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

We at Annandale Children's Centre recognise the Traditional Custodians of the Land, the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora Nation, and strive to provide an environment which respects, values and welcomes local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and community.

We recognise and acknowledge that the heritage and history of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples continues to strengthen and enrich our community. We therefore, as professionals, aim to increase our knowledge along with the knowledge of our children and families, of the cultures, histories, beliefs and practices of the many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations across Australia. We aim to embed this knowledge in our daily practice, curriculum and environment.

We are committed to embedding the values and perspectives of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to ensure we learn from the mistakes of the past and forge a positive future of long-lasting value built on mutual respect, equality and opportunity.
