Mary Campbell Preschool

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

As educators, we at Mary Campbell Pre School would like to strengthen our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. We make a commitment to building respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, that honour and extend our knowledge by resourcing authentic and respectful resources. We believe that, throughout history, reconciliation has helped, and can continue to help, people care for and understand one another. Reconciliation has elements of truth, justice, forgiveness, healing, reparation, and love. Our vision is that, once we have acknowledged our past, we can much better walk together into a shared future. We believe a reconciled Australia is unified, respectful, resilient and meaningful. We will support all young Australians develop a strong sense of identity, and a shared pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
