VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At St Michael's and St Mark's Pre-school we aspire to connect authentically with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and cultures within our practice. We believe that our commitment for reconciliation is a life-long journey and through extending our own professional learning, we can develop an ongoing understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories and share our knowledge with children, staff, parents and the community. We endeavour to scaffold an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are valued and celebrated by authentically fostering and promoting meaningful and equal and equitable interactions and experiences, to ensure that the learning of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures is respectfully and positively embedded into our everyday practices.
